Required Evidence: All pages of your award letter from Student Finance England, Wales or NI or Student Awards Agency Scotland.

Must include: - Full name - clear indication that you receive the full rate (means-tested) loan or grant.

Date requirement: Academic year 2025/26 or 2026/27

Note: Must be an undergraduate means-tested maintenance award (full rate). Postgraduate or advanced learner loans do not meet the criteria for the UCAT Bursary.

Required Evidence: First page of Universal Credit statement (from Universal Credit account).

Must include: - Name and address of the claimant - Date - Award amount

Date requirement: Dated within the last 3 months

Note: If you are over the age of 21 and no longer in full-time secondary or undergraduate education, you must be personally in receipt of Universal Credit to qualify for a UCAT bursary.

Required Evidence: All pages of the award letter from UK Jobcentre Plus

Must include: claimant details - confirmation that the benefit is income-based (means-tested)

Date requirement: Dated 2026

Note: Proof of benefit letter can be obtained online.

If you are over the age of 21 and no longer in full-time secondary or undergraduate education, you must be personally in receipt of a qualifying benefit or award to be eligible for a UCAT bursary.

Required Evidence: Official award letter from UK Government

Must include: Name of recipient – confirmation that you are currently in receipt of financial asylum support

Date requirement: Dated within the last 12 months

Note: If you are over the age of 21 and no longer in full-time secondary or undergraduate education, you must be personally in receipt of UK Government Asylum Support to be eligible for a UCAT bursary.
